Outlaw: "Seems to me more like old habits, than old age".
-------The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976)
As I get older (I'm 61 next month), I am wondering what advice exists to keep a person from falling into "old fogey-dom". The same sort of mindset that I see in so many other older people. The ones who sit in the local deli or coffee shop. They're either complaining about aches and pains. Or they're complaining about the young people. And when not doing that they are reminiscing about the "good old days".
I want to avoid as much as possible, mentally turning into an "old geezer". I think this is just as important in a survival situation as any other prep. To maintain the ability to innovate and adapt, which seems to fall away as we get older.
