The Walking Dead lessons

Kinda yeah, kinda no... I've been following the show for, damn, years now... Some of the decisions they have made make me go "What kind of idiot would do that?" They don't have good opsec, they keep people in their group that are liabilities, they wander into situations that are foolhearty at best, poorly executed at worst, actually, for a group that has been riding out this disaster for a while now, keep making the same mistakes over and over and then wonder why they get decimated.

Example - the open pit mine. They had to move the trucks, let the zombies out, and do the parade nonsense. Why not excavate or bomb the pit road to keep it a trap?

I just can't wait to see what happens when they, in full bravado mode, take on a total stranger who they know is well set up. (OK, I know how this is going to work out, but even without knowing how the comic runs, you can tell that it's one more bad decision that will get them into undeniable crap.)
