Toilets?

We need to replace a toilet and we're trying to decide between single flush and dual-flush. Are dual-flush toilets all they are cracked up to be or is the complexity of the mechanism problematic long term? Are we better off with a 1.28 gal, single flush vs. a dual flush? I have no real-world experience with dual flush toilets.

Only requirements are that it be white and the bowl shape be round or compact elongated (the bathroom is small).
