about deer not wanting to jump into small spaces...

(I'm sure Like many) I've heard this quite a few times, and obviously it'll vary, but I'm wondering.... does anyone know how small is small?

I'm encircling my raised beds, some with hoops, but that doesn't work for every plant (beans, tomato, giant sunflower...)

So I bought some chain link fence I've been putting up, I know that they can jump 5', (easily) but with it being less than 20 feet wide (varries, between 16 and 20 at the widest point) I'm hoping it'll work.

Anyone got any experence with this?
