natural barbwire ?

I need to grow some very thorny vines to the top of my wire fence, I am not allowed my law in the city to use actual barbed wire but creative landscaping IS allowed.

what plants are best that wont invade my whole yard but stay on the fence and keep people away.
if i can find them in the wild do they transplant easily ?
