quikclot shelf life in high-heat conditions?

Defaultquikclot shelf life in high-heat conditions?

Hey all, I was rummaging through the first aid/trauma kit I keep in my car and I got to thinking about how high heat affects shelf life. I live in the American southwest and summertime temps in excess of 110F are common (MUCH higher inside the car). So, after googling a bit and without much success, I wonder if anyone here can speak to how such high temperatures affect the shelf-life of (specifically) quikclot sport sponges...my gut tells me that since it's not for ingestion, that it's probably ok even past it's printed expiration date as long as the packaging is intact and undamaged, but I very well could be wrong. Anybody? Thanks!
