Boy and girls, ducks and chickens....We had to separate our lone male duck from the rest of the flock today. He has been with the chickens all his life, and has started to attempt to mate with them. Killed one, and severely injured another.
I was concerned about it, so we found him 2 girly ducks (they are all mallards) several months back. Seems that they didn't take to each other.
Poor guy was running around the pen trying to get back in with the family. Maybe we'll move the girl ducks out with him so he has some company....
