Theological Liberalism

We are getting to the size where we are getting nearly constantly people asking to come and be a guest speaker.

Funny when we were 90-100 people, no one ever asked to come. But these days when we have 5 Sunday services and 2 on Saturday they are coming out of the woodwork.

They typically send us a resume/video and a brief description of their ministry. Most seem young, 25-38 years old. I am so shocked at their social agenda's and how liberal most of them are. Anti-gun, pro-BLM, pro just about everything socially liberal.

I went through about 40 request last night, our pastor asked if we could find 4-5 guest speakers through the summer Months. I couldn't find one that wasn't socially left driven. They are started sounding the same.

One guy I know pretty well or at least thought I did. I read his blog and I couldn't believe his views on gun control, Islam, homosexual behaviors, Trump, Obama, BLM and on and on. He will not be speaking at our Church.

Our pastor has told me over and over again to be open and not look for people who are just cookie-cutter thinkers, to not be afraid to step outside the box a bit. I get that but I have serious concerns. I've spoken to several Catholic friends and they have even expressed their issues with the current Pope.

Am I the only one seeing this or has anyone else noticed this?
