Predestination, for or against?

So, years ago someone gave my husband an RC Sproul lecture about predestination. Now my husband is a believer in it.

I think it is awful and a cop out to evangelism. I believe everyone has a chance to be saved, and it's our duty to reach out. That's one thing I like about you guys, I see you reaching out.

We argue a lot, he's for, I'm against. We agree on all other articles of faith.
What is your position or do you have one?

We all know we are saved by faith in Jesus - but the "for" believe that first God has to "predestine" you to be saved.

I believe God wants us all.
