Hi Folks, I have a question:
http://ift.tt/1tlb9Io
I am in Indiana, so the algae bloom doesn't effect me. However, we do have blue-green algae in our lakes and rivers here.
My filter straw has three stages including a 0.05 micron UF and a charcoal final filter.
I chose this straw over the Sawyer specifically for the charcoal filter, which reduces heavy metals and organic chemicals.
The UF will remove the Cyanobacteria itself. That's not a problem.
My concern is, during a bloom, will charcoal effectively filter the toxins produced by these organisms?
Thank you,
Josh
