Australia taking in 1000's of refugee's

So I just caught the end of a part of the news talking about who's been helping with what overseas in Afganistan I think. And I'm pretty sure I heard that Australia's part in it will be taking in 1000's of refugee's.



Can anyone shed some light on this?



If this is what's going to be happening then I'm definitely glad to be going back to NZ.
