Incarcerated when SHTF?

Has anyone else given thought to what they would do if you happen to find yourself incarcerated when a major SHTF event happens?
We've all spent a night in the drunk tank or the weekend on a disorderly conduct , but what if something goes down? How would you get to your supplies and loved ones?

Its something I bet not a lot of us have considered.

Personally I'd cite the Geneva convention and demand release.
