Ugandan elections-unrest-& gov. control

It may be interesting to some on the board to review some google search results about the elections here in Uganda.

During the campaign process many opposition candidates were arrested while campaigning and a few people were killed by police in the ensuing riots.

Currently, the gov. has shut down Facebook, Twitter, and Whats App in order to prevent people from communicating. Many of the polling places had the delivery of their ballot materials delayed and voters are getting restless and angry.

My office and living area are cut off in both directions by civilian constructed road blocks of large rocks tossed into the street. Only egress is on foot through the crowds or over land through some swamps and small neighborhoods.

I just thought it would be an interesting study for some here. It is a microcosm of unrest and somewhat of an example of how people can react once they fall into that mob mentality.
