10 Cloverfield Lane - SPOILER thread

Ok...this movie has been on my mind since I left the theater.

#1 - its really **** ing spooky.

I guess first off, I will list the clues that I saw/heard that led me to think there were actually aliens. In chronological order, I'm pretty sure:

• On the radio as she is driving down the road at the beginning of the movie, you hear something like "Blackout in the Southern seaboard continues. Reports of odd weather patterns." Now blackout could mean a "conventional" attack, but in combination with "strange weather patterns," and you get either aliens or biblical.
• Strange sounds heard topside from inside the bunker. They were...strange. All except the one that was actually the car driven by the infected woman.
• The 3rd guy. He says he "saw it." A weird flash and glow on the horizon. This hints at something BIG going down. Also has a "non-conventional" feel to it. This by itself could be written off because he is a bit weird. But then we get the infected woman.
• The infected woman. Actual proof that something really did happen topside. Without this, you could still be thinking this might be a crazy person psychological thriller. Goodman and the 3rd guy could both be in on it...but this woman is infected with some nasty ****. And seemed overly aggressive. Can you imagine a population center with tons of infected people running around trashing everyone and everything?
• Goodman tells you EXACTLY what is going on topside. After the rumbles, he goes on a rant. The last option he says is aliens have scout ships traveling the land cleaning up signs of life. BINGO!!!

CHILLS MOMENTS:

She get's topside and hears the not-exactly-sound of a helicopter. Then we see it. It's moving too slow. The sound is wrong. And the silhouette is VERY wrong. I was waiting for the shoe to drop...but I still got chills. Then the explosion draws it in. The weird tentacles spool out, and one drops something into the corn.

Why does it always have to be **** ing corn.

Like I said, I was expecting aliens. The clues for me pointed to aliens or biblical, but for some reason...I just knew it was aliens. I had chills pretty much this whole time. The reveal of the...hunting dog alien?...was really good and spooky.

The whole night time drive she made was frightening.

...and then you see the ships silhouetted in the lightning flashes. LOVE IT!
