A question on Cobra derringers

I bought a Cobra .22 mag derringer a while back. Selector and selector spring were broke, but that allowed me to get it for a steal of $80 (for whatever reason, derringers are expensive. For what one of those Bond Arms .45/.410 cost, you could easily get a reputable auto or revolver). So, I ordered the needed parts directly from Cobra's website for pretty cheap, and had my trusted gunsmith fix it.

Now, what I want to know is if any longtime owners of these guns have had a problem with the selector and/or selector spring, and how many times yours has broken. I got the gun as a cheap CCW option. I've never carried, and I can't figure out a way to hide my .38, neither do I have the money for another gun. The derringer disappears into any sort of front pocket, and .22 mag, while not ideal, is nothing to laugh at, especially given the defensive ammo developed for it in modern times. I just want to know about the gun's reliability from longtime owners.

Thanks!
