I have no problems, however, with the Senate playing theatrics of "considering" him for a long, long while as a delaying tactic and as a defense against the inevitable claims of "obstruction" by the left - so long as the "decision" is a foregone conclusion before said theatrics begin.

If M(b)itch McConnell were smart, he would have held his fire and gone through the motions and looked like he was "doing his job" before ultimately, and after much delay, killing the nomination with impunity.
