I've got 3 onions and 2 garlic in a 5 gallon "earth bucket" that I'm growing from sets which were grown from seed last year. The garlic is just getting started, but the onions have been growing well for a couple or three weeks. Is it ok if the onion leaves are kinda droopy, or are they supposed to stand up straight? They're not like laying down wilted or anything, they're just not holding themselves upright. I've read suggestions in a couple places that onions grown from sets should be kept trimmed to about 4 inches until they are planted out, but these are going to stay in the bucket under lights for the duration.
Other than being droopy, the color and growth is good. they've each got a lot more leaves than they had last year.
