Riots

I'm thinking in certain situations riots can occur just about anywhere. I do live in the country, on a large farm. But sometimes riots can last for awhile and armchair activist can suddenly decide to join in and make the riot swell and happen in other areas besides where it started.

I'm just looking for ideas for when a riot becomes a violent movement that draws energy from every crazy in a 100 mile area. Then, of course, the other side needs to bring their chest beaters out to add to the violence. A little riot can move into a building burning, woman raping, attacking anyone who isn't "us" sort of movement that takes on a life of its own.
