Hi folks. My wife and I are new to prepping but not totally without some skills, mainly suited for a more hunker down/bug in situation. We raise a garden and put up our own produce. We were both raised in country/rural areas and are familiar with animal husbandry. I used to backpack a bit back in my younger days, know how to hunt, fish, and I run a trap line every fall. None of which really means a whit in a SHTF/survival situation.
What would be your opinion of the most important survival/prepper skills to learn? Would you need to know primitive survival skills like cordage making, flint knapping and how to make a fire with matches or lighter? Or maybe something more like a basic first aid class or a CPR class or even small engine mechanics?
What about building a library of reference material like "How To..." type books?
Thanks
Elbert
