Born in the U.S.A.

In the last couple weeks, I have had to go to the post office a few times.

Every single time I went, there was a surprisingly large crowd of Hispanic families at the passport window.

I know a postal clerk there & asked him "what's that all about"?

He told me most were applying for U.S Passports for their children.

Just the children, as they were "BORN" in the U.S.A.

In almost all cases, one or both parents were not U.S. citizens, nor had "Green Cards".
(which has obvious ramifications)

I gather the parents are establishing "proof" (besides birth certificates) their children are U.S. citizens.
