Protection when riding a bicycle

When I was a teen I used a frame-mounted air pump to whack at a charging dog while its owner stood watching stupidly in his driveway. Ruined the pump, but soooo . . . damn gratifying. Today, I'm a bit more prepared. For dogs and certain non-lethal situations I carry a can of hi-strength fogging pepper spray within easy reach. For "worser" situations, a Ruger LCP in .380 in a jacket pocket or fanny pack. Same goes for jogging.

If walking or hiking I carry my Commander-sized .45 with double stack mags of +P HP (13 + 1) in an IWB holster as well as the pepper spray and Kershaw Blur Tanto. Y'all have a safe day, too!
