Well hand pump

I would like to add a hand pump into my well system. Something like this....

If I added a check valve on top of my submersible pump, added a shut off valve to the rest of the pressurized water system, would something like this (not necessarily this model) pump water up ~40' from the standing water level in the casing.

I am working on design ideas for adding a solar option to my well system. I would like to add a hand pump.
