Blue wave didn't impress

Dems won the house, but by a smaller majority than the GOP won in 2010 (by a lot), it's a pretty narrow majority historically as well (compared to other mid-term takeovers). Republicans actually *extended* their majority in the senate, ensuring beyond all doubt the speedy confirmation of future appointments.

Not a "blue flush", but definitely not much of a wave. Democrats have been contained.
