Just Joined the Local VFD

Not every threat is nation wide, and not every preparation, is either buying gold, or another gun. In my case brush fires are a major risk, and the local volunteer fire dept needs help.

Fortunately they need more than young guys, with strong legs and backs. They also need folks who can fix radios, weld and repair equipment, and keep track of equipment and ground personnel at large fires.

I probably should have volunteered the first yr after moving here, but I consentrated on farm building, and the new house.
