This verse should make it very clear to me......
2 Timothy 3:1, This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
But.... I am also aware of verses that talk about the church and prayer being the resistor of the spread of evil. And I am also aware of the reference to the "restrainer". So I have always thought that until the church and the "restrainer" are out of the way, this preponderance of evil would increase.
Evil is most certainly increasing.
So what's your thinking on this subject?
In the past few days of study and prayer, I have been thinking more that the "restrainer" loosening his restraint might be a gradual thing, rather than an instantaneous thing. (By the way, the Restrainer is not clearly identified in the Bible. I believe the Restrainer is either the Holy Spirit or one of the incredibly powerful Arch Angels/or group of Angels.)
Anyway, it is clear that insanity is much more prevalent today and is growing by each passing year.
Anyone have thoughts on this?
......
The increase of evil.....
