So I decided I would do the rest of it on the actual Army reserve. You know, that one weekend a month, two weeks a year thing. Buying Tricare is going to save me about two hundred dollars a month and I still get to maintain some of the skills I picked up in the Army.
The way I see it, I'll get some periodic Army training without having to do the dumb ****, mowing grass all the time or painting walls.
Even if it is a bunch of BS, at least I'll still get some training and the benefits. And if I hate it, I'll be done in November of next year. If I like it, I'll extend.
What experiences do y'all have with the Army reserve? I know what active duty is like. What is the reserve like? Just wondering what to expect.
Going into the Army Reserve tomorrow.
