California is a very large state. "Going to war" with them over gun rights or anything else is like trying to move a liberal elephant out of the room.

Most of the people in the state ignore their gun laws and keep quiet about it. The nut cases in LA, San Francisco, and San Diego roll around and foam at the mouth and the rest of the state gets their gun stuff in Nevada or Arizona.

During a brief time when I lived there, I had a sheriff there advise me not to comply with "assault weapons registry" or even magazine laws because, "if I know you have it, I might have to come and get it one day. If I don't know you have it, what reason would I haver to bother you at all?" Very smart guy.

Bottom line, be quiet about your personal property so you'll have it if you need it. I don't like it, but there it is. As I've said before, vote with your dollars and your feet - if you can't take the laws in CA and you can't change them, go to a "FREE STATE" TO LIVE FREE!
