Whats latest/greatest in counter top water filters, Berkey, Doulton, etc?

SB opinions I have been reading are dated. I need something for daily drinking, tired of these pitcher filters and filter replacement costs. This is for heavily treated municipal water, you can "smell" it.

Looks like the Berkey urns w/ black filters, "supposedly" are the best. Read allot of neg's on them too though.

Any Doulton users out there? Any good?

Mainly interested in which candles are the best as far as removing everything.

What does the job best for you all?
