BOB/72 hour kit pillow for side sleepers

Realizing that BOB or 72 hour kits aren't about luxury sleep is still important. I've tried a few blow up pillows, but most are only 2-3 inches thick. With my wide shoulders and a bad neck I don't end up sleeping at all. It also screws my neck and back up for the next few days.

Could anyone suggest anything 5-7"?

Another option I've been thinking about is cutting a section out of the memory foam pillow I use now and sewing it into a case, but would that fall apart?
