Solar Panel Help

There are 3 types of Solar Panel systems
1. Grid tie....this is where you tie the panels directly into the electrical system...it essentially supplements the power in your house and has no batteries.
2. Hybrid: Combination of Grid ties and Battery Bank used in conjunction with and inverter and a relay. When the power goes out the bank kicks in.
3. Stand alone....panels to charge controller to batteries....better know as a Solar Generator.

If all you want is simple charging I would recommend a small battery bank of 5 12AH 12V SLA batteries. This would support the most basic of what you are looking for.
