Hey New York, from Northern Westchester myself. To those of you outside of state, yes there's at least one person interested in survivalism all the way over here although there's a lack of people with heads and anus separate so it seems.
Aside from being in N. Westchester I'll give a small bit of background I suppose. I have just recently reached a portion of my life where my idle fascination with survivalism could become reality. I have zero experience with anything at all really but want to learn it all. I want to learn how to track and trap, grow, hunt and am interested in bushcraft.
Now background aside the point of this thread is to just kind of see if there's any like minded New Yorkers out there. If you guys have any news or stories regarding any camping or hiking trips or just exploration feel free.
If you guys have any suggestions of how to get started in any of the aforementioned topics please let me know.
If any New Yorkers know any gatherings like meetups/groups/survival programs in any part of New York that has been beneficial let me know. Any interesting hiking/camping spots would help out as well as nature reservations. My neck of the woods is not heavy in the woods part and anywhere worth seeing would be appreciated. Abandoned sites etc
