-A Cautionary Tale

I remember that day as if it happened only yesterday. What was once a normal, sedate and routine lifestyle quickly became a scene of killing fields ripped straight from the pages of world despots such as Pol Pot, Josef Stalin and Adolph Hitler.
First, multiple big businesses collapsed under the weight of illegal taxation known as the Affordable Healthcare Act. Millions of people were instantly unemployed, with little or no hope of finding fulltime or even part time work enough to survive upon. Government programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, WIC and local unemployment benefits collapsed under the enormous weight of an already overburdened, unsustainable entitlement system; programs which had been previously drained down primarily by those who chose to suckle off of the teat of the American Worker’s labors, rather than work a job of their own. There simply were no additional funds available for those newly unemployed people, which caused them great anxiety and discontent concerning the entire federal government.
Unable to make even the nominal interest payments, the United States defaulted on several of its foreign-held loans from China, Germany, Russia and England due to the lowest GDP production cycle in American history. Creditors worldwide called for legal actions and forfeiture of tangible property within the U.S., which triggered yet another degradation of it’s credit rating. The Fed attempted another ‘Band-Aid’ type of solution, tied closely with the U.S. Treasury’s printing of millions of dollars of nearly worthless script. All efforts failed, and the economy began the largest downward spiral in its entire history.
The resulting economic downgrade sent shockwaves throughout world markets, with Wall Street dropping over 10,000 points in a single day. NASDAQ and Dow-Jones both crashed to their lowest points ever before in their history.
Field laborers and food packaging facilities ground to a near standstill after labor unions demanded they go on strike, suing for higher wages for their people due to the higher cost of living. Most grocery stores and food outlets were left with meager offerings on their shelves throughout the entire country. What little prepackaged food that remained was quickly bought or stolen, leaving no manner in which to feed millions upon millions of people. The East and West coast areas were the hardest hit initially, due to their more densely populated metropolitan areas. Those who lived in rural, farm areas fared far better, at first.
Panic began to set in as rioters and looters began foraging for food, weapons, ammunition, clothing and camping supplies. People were literally ripped from their homes and trampled to death on the streets while all of their possessions became stolen and scattered amongst the mob hordes.
Unable to effectively deal with the rioting, many state governors began to deploy National Guard units to reinforce the overstressed local police forces. Ammunition for those forces became an immediate problem, as supplies quickly dwindled. The President of the United States declared a state of emergency, issuing an Executive Order that revoked the Posse Comitatus Act. He sent NATO troops in support of regular U.S. forces to occupy the cities and states most affected, which was most of them.
No one really knows nor remembers the precise moment that things really escalated, but we all suspected that it was the house-to-house search and seizure of weapons, money and food that motivated small groups of Patriotic Citizens to band together in order to preserve their own homes and families from the tyrannical overlords.
As those brave Freedom Fighters began to become effective in overcoming NATO troops and confiscating their weapons and vehicles, the President issued another Executive Order. This time, he chose to use chemical and biological weapons to ‘eradicate the threat of urban terrorism’.
Millions of unprotected, unarmed citizens died, with little or no effect against the Patriotic Freedom Fighters. Fortunately, they had already confiscated and repurposed enough chemical / biological suits and gas masks that the illegal and immoral terrorist acts made by the cowardly resident-in-chief were all in vain. The harder the President pushed, the Patriotic Freedom Fighters fought back with a passion and fervor not seen since the first American Revolution. They adopted a motto and emblem for their banner: Molon Labe.
At nearly the same time, millions of timid people, mostly unarmed liberals who were unwilling to defend themselves and their neighbors, were herded like sheep into FEMA camps in different pre-designated ‘zones’ across the continent. Many of them were executed using chemical, electrical and other more violent methods of extermination. The few media outlets that were permitted to remain active became full-on state-run propaganda organizations, with the intent and purpose of dissuading and discouraging any who might oppose the oligarch-in-chief. NBC becomes his preferred disinformation / re-education provider, based on their previous willingness to be shills for the bastard tyrant. The media reported that ‘thousands of terrorists were detained for questioning’ to cover up the insane massacre. Amazingly, many of the lunatic liberal leftists continued to believe the lies spoken to them on a daily basis, and condemned the efforts of the Patriotic Freedom Fighters in support of the Manchurian Candidate resident in the White House.
When even those liberals who supported him in the past started to object to the dictator’s orders for his eugenics program, they began fearing for their own lives. People began to mysteriously disappear, have automobile accidents, heart attacks or become targets of gang violence. All voices of dissension were silenced within the ranks of the socialist party hardliners as well, leaving only the disparate roving groups of armed Patriotic citizens to defend and uphold the actual constitution of the United States. Thousands of U.S. troops and law enforcement officers eventually joined the fight, making the Patriot’s efforts stronger and better organized.
Soon after that, the White House was taken back by the Molon Labe Patriots. The criminal usurper resident narrowly escaped capture and evaded the Freedom Fighters using the elaborate tunnel system in the Washington D.C. area. He flew off in his helicopter to an unknown location, most likely a nearby military base.
Those of us who learned how to survive started to grow our own food, and draw water from the rivers, lakes and reservoirs that were not as heavily patrolled by the remaining NATO troops. The President, out of desperation, called upon our Nation’s enemies to invade the United States, in order to squelch the armed rebellion. China, Russia, Iran and North Korea capitulated, sending millions of troops to U.S. soil.
Fortunately for our Republic, it was already too late for them to be effective. Enough highly trained Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Naval personnel had already defected from the bastard tyrant’s unholy alliance of evil, along with their ships, planes, tanks and APC’s, that the Molon Labe Patriots were able to repel the invaders on the shorelines, on the ground, and in the air. The losses were too great for the invading powers to sustain any type of prolonged campaign. The Axis of Evil powers recalled their troops from the USA, or pulled out all support for their One World Domination efforts completely.
The regime finally fell under its own weight, unable to sustain its voracious appetite for funding, now that there was no revenue stream to draw from. The Patriotic Citizens of the United States hunted down the pretender-in-chief, but it was too late; he had already escaped to one of the Axis of Evil countries.
A new Congress was elected from people who had no previous experience in politics. Simple, straightforward laws were enacted to restore and repair this country’s infrastructure. Lobbyists were completely outlawed ad infinitum, and Congressional pay was determined by popular vote during election cycles. No Congressman or Senator was ever allowed to vote themselves a pay raise ever again. All laws were written one at a time, with no riders, hidden waivers or other legal trickery involved. Every Bill dealt with only one issue at a time, so that no obfuscation of truth would ever be allowed again.
All previous ‘locked in’ pork-barrel deals to constituents were determined to be null and void, and the New Congressional house and Senate members had strict, two term limits. Nevermore would a citizen become a career politician, thus eliminating the vast majority of Capitol Hill corruption. Laws that affected the citizens of the United States affected every member of Congress, the New Judicial system and the Executive branch equally. Nobody was exempted from taxation or mandatory laws, and everyone paid their fair share of taxes with the new Flat Tax. Never again would legal trickery or loopholes be allowed to exempt any person or group from paying their fair share.
Most importantly, communism and socialism were deemed to be illegal in the political venues throughout the entire United States…even in California. Senator Joe McCarthy would have been proud of us, that we had finally eradicated the threat of a communist government, by law, forever in the USA.
In exchange for sparing their own lives, those most trusted and closest to the former resident-in-chief finally betrayed his secret location. He was tried in a court of law, found guilty, and was forced to spend his remaining days as the sole occupant of Guantanamo Bay’s detention center, with no chance of parole. His name was forever stricken from all historical books and records, with severe penalties for those who invoked his name while teaching young students. His Presidential library was renamed and repurposed, with all documents previously contained within burned. The building was renamed as the Tea Party Library.
Although we went through a turbulent time in history, the American spirit and resolve eventually won the day. Like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and all of our country’s founding fathers, America re-learned its hard-fought lessons on Patriotism, morality and respect for the God-given rights of the common man once again.
That’s the way that I remember that it all went down. Perhaps you remember it happening a little differently than that.
