Line is loose

Every time I cast out my line isn't tight. I'm not able to cast very far. When I do cast my line comes right back to me. I've tried putting weight on it and still have the same problem.

I'm pretty sure that it isn't a memory issue. Time after time I've bought new line and had the same issue. I've even tried braided line.

I'm using a spinning reel. Thanks in advance!
