Shelf items in the freezer. Really.

I'm redoing my freezer. I used to have a lot of meat, but the idea of canning much after some kind of event has all kinds of holes in it. I do my canning now, under comfortable circumstances.

My medium sized freezer is now fats, the kinds of fats that the clock begins to tick on AFTER the grid goes down.

I have some space left. I'm tempted to fill it with chocolate, but oh well.

What you put ithe leftover space? Nothing quickly perishible. Maybe stuff that lasts 6 months after thawing? More? One year?

Ideas?
