Camp chef Stryker 200

This only my first or second post on this forum. Please bear with me.

I just recently picked up a Camp Chef Stryker 200 backpack cooking system. What drew me to this particular system was that it was a dual fuel system right out of the box. A lot of my counterparts use Jetboil systems for field cooking. I was first drawn to the Camp Chef Steyker 150 while I was going to pick up a Jetboil AR Academy Sports. I liked that particular model because it used propane bottles as I had a few 1lb bottles laying around.

After the purchase I started to wonder if there was a way to use butane on a propane system. I found the Camp Chef Stryker 200 on Amazon. So, I ordered that and took back the 150. I also found the Camp Chef pot/simmer adapter and ordered that as well. The first picture is a shot of the system with the two types of fuel.

Initial impressions:
I like the system. It seems well built and somewhat well thought out. It is big tho. I will grab some dimensions but the opening seems to be larger than a Jetboil. This may rear its ugly head down the road. We will see. The system instructions are well laid out and five you all of the information that a use may need. I like that.

Usage:
I am currently an active duty soldier posted at Ft. Polk. I am constantly in the field. I typically spend 7-9 days out of a 14 day rotation in the field and needed a way to cook while out there.

I tested the 200 out really quick. So the big part for this dual system hinges on the propane adapter....but we will get back to that later. So I hooked up the two types of fuel and the system ran fine. There was some initial discoloration on the burner. I am not a metallurgist and this is my first fielding of a system like this, so I assume this is normal.

Time:
I will be posting intermittently over the next few weeks updating how this worked out.
