Great EDC trick for large folders

I just found, and tested for a while, one truly great trick for carrying a large folder fully hidden (a level of concealment pocket clip carry fails to offer imho): For those who have Spyderco's Civilian, it comes with a padded zipper pouch: Put your large folder in this pouch, and leave the end unzipped: In the inside pocket of most jackets, this pouch will naturally stay upright, even with a heavy knife, presenting the knife correctly, while protecting it from keys, change and pocket lint.

Being broad closed, as the Civilian is, requires a larger unzipped opening. A smooth handle helps in pulling the knife out.

This solves all deep carry problems: Knife sinking to the bottom and jamming sideways etc, while making the carry far, far more pleasant (and silent) through the padding effect.

And it liberates the pocket for change and keys, without any tingling or scratching. No lint build up or sweat getting in the knife (making that "sweat spot", even on some stainless), and NO in-pocket opening, ever...

Try it, and I guarantee you will never use a pocket clip again. I pity myself for not thinking of this 20 years ago...
