Picking up a used 4Runner tomorrow

I have an 04 Sport V8. 200,000 trouble free miles. It's a dependable workhorse with few issues. One thing, beware of a egg sulfer smell if you drive with the back window down, especially going uphill with lower gear and higher RPM. Bad sulfer smell sucked in thru the back open window. That was disappointing and widely reported. Seat brackets come loose and are hard to fix, so inspect that. Water pump should be inspected. Mine was a warranty replacement early on. Had my bearings replaced around 120k.

Been a very dependable and great vehicle for all climate/terrain. Great safety records. Good gas mileage about 19mph total. Good towing package, and can tow I think 5000 or 7500 lbs. Driven it across country, many states, winter, summer, desert, mountain, highway, light off roading... been wonder. Camping trips. Road trips.

For an SUV it's an excellent choice.
