This is an interesting thread regarding the supposed adding of a chip to super micro motherboards that allowed monitoring by the chinese.

it is possible that bloomberg was mislead. Super micro stock dropped through the floor as a result of the news. If bloomberg was scammed, the stock has good upside.

If if the chip story is true, super micro is still a very strong company that makes motherboards for many types of servers.

This is potentially akin to the tylenol scare, marck vioxx, BP oil spill etc.

Those were all great buys with stocks that got hit because of a single event, which is my favorite kind of purchase.
