Any folks on here living the RV or Van Life Full Time

I really enjoy looking at ways to improve the Gem Top Canopy on the back of my old 2wd F150. Youtube has TONS of videos of how folks are living in them full time.. How they've modified their trucks (or vans) (or travel trailers) to live what could best be as a Pre TEOTWAWKI lifestyle.

Tonight I was looking over ways for making money while out there and while a decent wi-fi connect is a priority, so is a decent laptop that will run the software you're using. I actually use a legal version of Autocad 2010. Sure, it's 10 years old but, the way I have it customized, I can do pretty much anything the guys and gals are paying over $1,000 every year to upgrade to the latest and greatest version..

So here's a couple of questions for ya'll: Is anyone else out there drawing houses or anything like full time on the road??

I've also got a 27' Class C that will sleep 8 and it's just me and the wife so I've been pondering about putting an office in the back where two single beds are now.

I've got a generator, my 27' has it's own Marine battery and all the hookups, I can tow my Jeep or Mommas Jeep with the 27'.

Right now I post an ad on Craigslist here where I'm living in my sticks and drywall house. Problem is it's just across the river from Portland, which I'm sure is a native word for "Let's tax everyone to death".

I've traveled on a few jobs in my RV and left the wife and all my critters behind, even went to Ireland for 9 months but, couldn't take my RV so they rented me a house and a car and paif for the gas, per diem, everything..

I've been working on a job that starts in March down in Eastern California and it'll be a 6 month run. They pay $500 a week for my vehicle, mileage, $100 a day per diem, etc...

I doubt I'll find many jobs like that when I go full time but, I'm looking for websites that can actually help me get into the contract work.. Kind of like UpWork, com.

SO, is anyone else working from an RV and living the life on here?

It's the ultimate situation for a survivalist.. You're always packed and ready to get farther away from the bad things happening. Plenty of places you can par k for free, mooch off McDonalds or local libraries for wi-fi.. Get a nationwide gym membership to keep in shape and have a decent place to shower..

You can also work in campgrounds for minimum wage and free hookups. Check into Workampers.com. That's the right spelling too. They say they have thousands of jobs..

Let's block ads! (Why?)
