Christianity spreading from China

This is something I became aware of from reading "The Lost History of Christianity: The Thousand Year Golden Age of the Church in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia and How It Died" By Philip Jenkins.

China could have as many as 90 million Christians. Chinese Christians may very well restore Christianity in central Asia with their evangelistic efforts. The ROC emerged from communism fully functional (Stalin tried to suppress Christianity but gave up after seven years of failure) and the Chinese organizations are likely to do the same.

Here is the book. It covers Nestorian and Jacobite Christianity and why they shrank back during the muslim conquest. Their failure to evangelize the rural areas and to train lay ministers were major factors. All the muslims had to do was kill the priests and bishops and the churches fell apart.
