HOV lanes and social distancing

It seems to me that carpooling is the exact opposite of what we should be doing right now. High Occupancy Vehicle lanes have no place in a Covid-19 world.

My home state of Florida has HOV lanes everywhere, and a record setting 10,000 new cases per day. We've made masks mandatory outside the home, distancing mandatory, closed the bars and imposed a number of other restrictions aimed at slowing the spread.

It's time we eliminate the high risk HOV lanes.
