Pool pump help?

My Haywood 1 hp pushes more than 30 gpm through a sand filter. There is no defined gpm for a centrifugal pump- flow depends on pressure. As flow is reduced, psi increases, and actual load on the motor is reduced.

If you have restrictions upstream ( skimmer basket, pump basket, too small pipe) or down stream ( too small pipe, not enough eyeball outlets) Flow could be less- I dont know about cartridge or DE filters.
