Carcano was selling for $12 in late 60's...look at the price of the junk now!

According to "Inflation Calculator: "$1 in 1968 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $7.41 in 2020."

That means $12 in 1960 would be the same as $88.92 today.

I remember during the Clinton Assault weapon ban I was able to buy a Romanian made AK47 for around $350. Atlantic Firearms has one now for $899. PSA lists some AK rifles for $689.99 (and they even have one in stock). According to the same source cited above, "$1 in 1995 is worth $1.69 today."

That means the AK I bought in 1995 would have cost $591.50 in today's money.

So at least some gun prices have gun up well beyond the rate of inflation. I think some might have come down too, but that's just a guess.

If American government ever again falls under the control of loyal Americans prices will likely come down substantially. And we will all be buying new guns because select fire will be legal and there will be no minimum barrel or o/a length.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
