Green coffee beans

I had a chance to tour the Kauai Coffee plantation a few years back. I got the impression "green" coffee beans lasted years.

not an expert, so I can't confirm, but I know what I heard.

They store it to control the markets, they themselves used to sell it to 3rd parties then stopped doing it.

They know those 3rd parties are holding on to tons of "green" coffee to make a profit on the scarcity when Kauai stopped selling to said 3rd parties.

I'm sure an expert will come along shortly for comment.

I'm a big fan of Kauai Coffee, got addicted to it while I was there...no regrets.
