Solar generator options?

We have a nice home with 500 gal propane tank for whole house Kolher gennie, wood stove for 100% of our heat if needed (backup heat pumps AND oil fired boiler with boiler mate for hot water). We have TWO full sized upright freezers which are wonderful (I even had them wired to different circuit breakers in case one tripped, at least we wouldn't lose BOTH).

I REALLY want solar panels with battery wall, but wife is resistant. We may sell house in a few years depending on what direction our 19 year old daughter goes, we may keep it. So her attitude is "we won't get our money back". Reasonable. So that said, is there a "portable" option like a really great solar gennie that I can "hack" into place to keep those freezers and maybe a couple of other things going if we get thrown off grid, and our propane eventually runs out or gennie dies for other reason?
