Are there restrictions to what one can buy with an EBT card?

A couple of years ago the 7-11 down the street turned into a full-blown EBT restaurant. Large EBT banners, pizzas, hotdogs, and other crap. The hotel across the street jumped on board and became a half way house for released prisoners. Uncle Sugar's gravy train was chugging along for both in the beginning until they realized the cost of doing business with EBT types was not worth the crime, theft, and destruction of property.

Recently, the hotel got got a total renovation and became a Super 8 and the 7-11 got rid of all their EBT and food signs, removed their food stations and made a craft beer and wine cooler. Lesson learned I guess.

I did not know you can get cash back on EBT cards. That is BS if true. My KY cousins just buy trunk loads of sodas and sell it for change on the dollar to buy their cigarettes, booze, and drugs.
