new (to me) vehicle or fix my old?

i have a 2000 dodge dakota, but it needs a lot of work done on it and i dont really have the ideal space or tools to do all the work on it, it needs new rear brake lines, new shock absorbers, new power steering pump, and cab mounts.. also, the bed is complete ****..

the cab mounts and shocks arent that important right now, and it can be driven without power steering so the brakes are the ones im more concerned with in the immediate future.. ive done engine work, put in new exhaust systems, extensive electronics and wiring, but never brakes, not yet.. i have no tools to cut or flare new lines and a lot of the sockets from the cheap tool kit i have are missing and the only place i have to work on it is in a shared driveway for the apartments im staying in temporarily

so.. i may have a place to store the vehicle outside of town until i have the space and better tools to get at it.. should i store it there and get a different vehicle (since ive been wanting another vehicle anyway) or do you think this should be simple enough to fix and not need to do all that?.. this truck i have now was my dads when he died last year so i have no intention of getting rid of it
