New but not a newb! :-)

Well I don't feel like a Newb at least.

Not new to being prepared or basic survival, but continueing the growing of skills and preparedness. Currently live just outside of Chicago (sadly), and starting the new project of expanding my survival/preparedness towards the prospect of having to possibly get the heck out of dodge.

Father, Army Veteran, and lifelong mechanic. Past generator service tech, and current compressed air tech. Currently working on ham ticket.

Looking forward to this forum, and hope to be able to contribute.
