New to the SKS. Any info would help.

Traded into a new Norinco Chinese SKS Type M. It has all matching numbers. The rifle has the ATI folding stock, black furniture throughout, and takes AK mags. The rear sights were taken out and mounted with an aftermarket SKS mount for optics. I happened to get a Vortex Strikefire 2 red dot and am looking to get to the range to zero it in at least 50 yards and maybe 100 yards.

How are the Norinco SKS owners exeperience with these rifles? With/without optics, best all around ammo, etc. Thanks for your input.
