cats for garden rabbits?

You betcha! Some cats are grand masters at it, some aren't inclined, but most are at least good.

Don't let someone tell you not to feed the cat and it will be a better critter killer. It also won't be "your" cat. It will consider itself a free agent and eventually will go elsewhere. That's what keeps any animal domesticated, the people take care of them, primarily sharing food.

Even well fed cats can't resist the instinct to catch things. If they don't eat them they still catch them because it's fun and that's what cats do. Unfortunately for the critters, they are fragile and cats are natural born killers.
